Description Sharp Edge Eye Syndrome (SEES), sometimes known as visual looming syndrome, is an idiopathic condition in which the patient experiences ocular pain or discomfort when viewing or mentally picturing sharp objects and edges. The purpose of this study was to determine if an optical filter could improve vision-related quality of life (VRQoL) in patients with SEES. Because photophobia is partially driven by intrinsically photosensitive retinal ganglion cells (IPRGCs), we used an optical filter that maximally blocked light at 480 nm and 590 nm, the wavelengths that activate IPRGCs.
