Description Visual Snow Syndrome (VSS) is a disorder characterized by the subjective persistent perception of visual static (or "snow") with at least two associated symptoms of palinopsia, photopsia, photophobia, nyctalopia, or entoptic phenomena. Visual snow is described as dynamic, continuous, tiny dots that cover the entire visual field. While people with inherent VSS may not be as aware of the visual disturbance, it can be disruptive to those with acquired VSS. We've previously demonstrated that an optical filter can improve spasms in benign essential blepharospasm and can improve vision-related quality of life (VRQoL) in patients with sharp edge eye syndrome. The purpose of this investigation is to determine if optical filters are effective in improving vision-related quality of life in patients with VSS.
