Description Leber hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) classically manifests with subacute, painless, bilateral sequential vision loss and poor visual prognosis. Occasionally LHON overlaps with multiple sclerosis (MS) in a syndrome historically referred to as ‘Harding's Disease'. We report a patient with features of LHON-MS who, following onset of bilateral vision loss, experienced an unexpected improvement in vision.
