Description Compression immediately posterior to the globe results in optic disc edema secondary to compromised venous outflow and axoplasmic stasis while compression in the orbital apex typically causes progressive optic nerve atrophy without edema.(1) We present two cases of meningioma causing compression at the apex/posterior orbit that resulted in optic disc edema.
