Description Although Vitamin A Deficiency (VAD) is a leading cause of childhood blindness in the developing world due to malnutrition, less is known about VAD in the United States (1,2,3). We sought to characterize the causes and clinical presentations of patients presenting with visual disturbance and hypovitaminosis A at a single center.
