Description |
This house was built by Orson & Rose Sanders for their family of 12 children. It has been in the Sanders family until the late 2000s. Orson Sanders raised fresh fish in the large fish ponds in the rear of the house where trout was hatched and grown then sold at the meat market which Sanders owned. The market was called Sanders mercantile and was located by the now Murray Theater. Orson Sanders was the son of an early pioneer family of Sondra Sanders who built his home on West 5900 South after living in a dugout for several years. |
