Subject |
Murray Historic Registry |
Description |
A Descendant of the early Simper pioneers, George W. and Laura Pugh Simper and their four children, moved into this house in 1912 near Simper's Corner (5900 South State) where the Daniel Simper Homestead was located. The home was previously built in the Hyland Boy Smelter area on Buillion Street and housed employees of the Murray Smelter but was moved in 1911 to its current location. After George & Laura died, the home was sold and the new owners made many remodeling improvements. |
