Subject |
Murray Historic Registry |
Description |
It is uncertain whether or not this house was part of the original home built in the 1860s. The Bergers homesteaded property west of State Street beginning at Poplar Street to 2nd West (which is now 3rd West) and 48th South to 59th South. Many other settlers built their homes in this area so it became known as Bergertown. The current owners are descendants of Christian Berger. |
