Description The Mount Nebo area and the Deep Creek Mountains are situated respectively on the former east and west shores of Pleistocene Lake Bonneville. Mount Nebo represents the southern limits of the Wasatch Mountain Range and is situated on the Eastern margin of the Great Basin. The Deep Creek Mountains are an almost isolated range of mountains within the Great Basin, and are connected on the south to the Snake Range by lower desert mountains (see Figure 1.)
