Abstract We present a 63-year-old man with idiopathic striopallidodentate calcifications who exhibited a marked supranuclear defect of eye movement in addition to an extrapyramidal movement disturbance and dementia. The resulting clinical disorder resembled progressive supranuclear palsy.
