Description As divisions continue to grow, it becomes more difficult to connect and promote collaboration. It is important to encourage, develop, and maintain; professional relationships between divisions. Three inpatient divisions: Critical Care, Hospital Medicine, and Emergency Medicine (Arches affinity group) initiated Meet-and-Greets in January 2020. Meet-and-Greets have provided a deliberate space to meet colleagues from different divisions with an in-person breakfast to improve collaboration, communication, and mutual respect. Problem statement: While the Arches affinity group is routinely having Meet-and-Greets, the subspecialty divisions have not yet started this initiative to foster wellness and collaboration. Goal: To recruit leaders and implement Meet-and-Greets throughout affinity groups. Actions taken: A 3rd Thriving in Pediatrics Wellness Champion from other affinity group was identified and taught Meet-and-Greets logistics. Additionally, efforts have been made to recruit wellness champions from each subspecialty division. With increased leadership, efforts have been made and our ongoing to improve Meet-and-Greets and promote initiative for all affinity groups. Summary of results: Arches affinity group Meet-and-Greets are occurring quarterly, have received positive feedback and have increasing attendance. Bryce Canyon affinity; group's 1st Meet-and-Greet had 11 participants and 7 survey responses, all with positive feedback. There are ongoing efforts to improve attendance, survey response rates and implementation of this initiative in all affinity groups.
