Then they are evident in the relationship between one man and another man by patience, kindness, and goodness. Notice, the spirit filled person is a person bearing fruit of PATIENCE. Now patience suggests hold out, are evident in the 1 suffering affliction or evil without being ruffled, going through. Perhaps that what David had in mind when he sang. "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadows of death, I will fear no evil."(Psalm 23) That what Job was talking about when He declared, "Though he slay me, yet will I wait until my change comes." The were trying to say they could and would hold on. They would not give up or give in. They would keep the faith. They would be content with others until they changed. W e do well to leave vengeance up to God and be patient with others .. . More than that, the spirit filled person goes a step beyond and shows KINDNESS. When Jesus was angels declared "peace 2 on born, the earth and good will toward all men." The was not talking about what Cain felt and did toward his brother Abel or what Joseph's brothers toward him when he showed up dreaming in his coat of many colors. The they meant it for evil but God good. Not only ought we not try to harm others, but we ought to be proactive is seeking the good of others. There is no harm is showing due benevolence to others. The third part of this cluster of Spiritual fruit is GOODNESS. We need to practice the help the other person to reach their completeness and sufficiency, to be all they can be without hindrance.
