Show THE PROOF OF GOD "Also the king answered unto Daniel, and said, I know of a truth that your God is a God ofgods, and the Lord of kings, and the revealer of secrets seeing thou couldest open the secrets." (Daniel 2: 47) King Nebuchadnezzar captured the children of God and took them from Jerusalem to Babylon. He picked out some young adults and put them to the d~()J~~~~j v1k~+ test. He offered them defiled meat but -,1-.%'f --11,. they refused and ate only vegetables. tte ¥ called his own wise men to tell him what he had dreamed and the interpretation of that dream and killed them when they could not. Finally his servants went T t-'W\ 5 ~'< ' 1 looking for Danii l, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah to put them to the same test. Daniel was persuasiy~ and asked for a little more time to come up with the answer for the king. He reminded the king that this kind of wisdom came only from God and it would take a little time. Daniel and his three companions went to his house and prayed. They asked God to give them the answer to the king's dream. God gave them the answer, they told the king what his dream was, and the interpretation of that dream. Daniel demonstrated that even the minister of God could do nothing without the wisdom and strength that belonged to God. In essence, Daniel told the king his dream was about how man-made kingdoms, no matter how many or what 2 they were constructed from, would crumble and fall but that the kingdoms established by God would stand forever. The king was pleased that Daniel and his team could tell him the dream he had forgotten and the interpretation of it. "Also the king answered unto 'Daniel, and said, I know of a truth that your God is a God ofgods, and the Lord of kings, and the revealer of secrets seeing thou couldest open the secrets. " In other words, the king said you have given me proof of the Living God. Sure there are many gods but only your God is the one who knows everything and He is more that all other gods and kings. We have tried all kinds of remedies for the guilt and sin of human kind. We covered sin with the blood of 3 bulls and birds and goats and sheep but all just temporary fixes. When you look in the book of Exodus 20, we are reminded to "have not other gods before Him." In the New Testament, we know that there is only one God that is the same yesterday, today, and forever." The Book of Revelations says, they looked everywhere for s9meone worthy to open the book but found none. Finally they heard a voice, saying, I will go and open the book. I will settle the debt of sinful. The True and Living God is our God and He is able to finish what He started. He is able to reveal even the secrets that we hid. One of these day, everything will be revealed and the truth will be known. 4 |
