Our records indicate it is not listed in the National Register of Historic Places. In order for it to be listed on the National Register it would need to be historically significant because it is probably not architecturally significant (although the photograph we have is not very clear). If you would like to send in a current photograph of the building we could re-evaluate it. See the enclosed fact sheet for additional information on the National Register. Also enclosed is information on how to research your building which will help you in documenting the history. Enclosed is a fact sheet on the state historic preservation tax credit. It is only available for residential buildings listed in the National Register (either individually or as a contributing building in a National Register historic district), but you may submit a tax credit application with a description of your proposed rehabilitation work. If your property is listed in the National Register within three years of completing rehabilitation work that has been approved by our office as meeting the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation, you could claim this tax credit. The state tax credit law requires the rehabilitation work be approved by our office before any work begins. There is no fee for this application. The complete application package is available from our office. Please let us know if you have any questions or if we can be of further assistance. You can reach me at 801/533-3562 or at cshepher@email.state.ut.us Sincerely, Charles M.
