Eugene, the second son of Ezra and Susan Leggett Clark (second wife), attended Farmington Academy and was a life-long farmer and stock raiser. The house was sold for the first time in 1941 and owned by 3 other families until the current owners. Arthur and Opal Lee Forbush bought it in 1963. The horne has been remodeled to a more contemporary design on the inside and an outside stairway, leading to an upstairs apartment has been removed. A double garage was added about 15 years ago, connected to the house by a breezeway. CD Bamberger Station 184 West State Street This horne was originally built in 1855 as Farmington's second schoolhouse, where Algie Walker Ford was the teacher. It was later used as the Bamberger Railroad station. Since the train was called "The Dummy" to distinguish it from the electric railroad line further to the west, the building was also called "The Dummy Station." Itis an adobe structure now owned by Cal and Barbara Fadel. f.7 o Mannos Home 292 East State Street Builtin 1893, this little house reaches it's century mark this year, making it one of the first homes built after Farmington City was incorporated. The horne was first owned by James Mannos, followed by Kilope Mannos in 1931, and then Gus Mannos in 1962. There have been several other owners since 1972. Current residents of the Mannos House are Kent and Laura Waldron. |
