Abstract We describe a young woman who developed intracranial hypotension with large subdural hematomas after epidural analgesia used during labor and delivery. She was then found to have bilateral optic nerve head swelling presumed to be due to papilledema. We described possible mechanisms for the development of papilledema in this clinical context.
