Mr. Eccles's letter to Mr. Hartke congratulated the Senator for his performance in a television interview with William F. Buckley, Jr., and thanked him for opposing U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War. The letter to Senator Hill thanked him for his service as he retired from service in Congress. |
