Creator Cheryl Wang, Sharmayne Siu, Alphie Rotinsulu, Eman Hawy
Subject Diagnostic Tests (ERG, VER, OCT, HRT, mfERG, etc); Interventional Neuroradiology; Vascular Disorders; Orbit/Ocular Pathology
Description Carotid-Cavernous Fistulas (CCF) may be difficult to diagnose without classic anterior ocular signs. We discovered a new specific retinal sign of CCF - delay in peak retinal venule flow relative to the adjacent arteriole that was not present in other forms of venous stasis. Our purpose was to elucidate new features of retinal blood flow specific for CCF.
