Description Controversy exists as to whether acute idiopathic blind spot enlargement (AIBSE), acute zonal occult outer retinopathy (AZOOR) and multiple evanescent white dot syndrome (MEWDS) exist across a continuous spectrum or are distinct diseases.1-5 This study describes the clinical characteristics of these diseases and reports the rate of conversion from one to another.
