Creator Carolyne Riehle, Philip Skidd
Subject Ocular Motility; Neuroimaging; Orbit
Description Bisphosphonates are highly effective and widely prescribed for the treatment of osteoporosis. Patients that are intolerant to oral bisphosphonates are often transitioned to intravenous zolendronic acid. The most commonly associated side effects are flu-like symptoms. Rarely do ocular complications such as orbital inflammation occur. Bisphosphonate-associated orbital pseudotumor is even less frequently reported.
