Description Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody disease (MOG-AD) is an autoantibody-mediated inflammatory disease with a variety of phenotypes including optic neuritis. The disease results from IgG1 antibodies attacking MOG expressed exclusively on myelin sheaths, promoting demyelination. Cases of MOG optic neuritis associated certain infectious triggers have been reported including Borrelia burgdorferi, COVID-19, Rubella, and HSV. Here, we present the first reported case of MOG optic neuritis associated with neurosyphilis.
