Description We examined a unique case of occult tertiary neurosyphilis presenting as total blindness and deafness over one month in an elderly man with no recent sexual contacts. Although optic neuropathy is a common presentation in neurosyphilis, total, bilateral ocular and auditory loss is rare, particularly in the absence of other meningovascular signs and symptoms.
