Includes a typescript (5 pages) dated 5 December 1965 and entitled "The easy chair: a communication on Vietnam from General James M. Gavin," a typescript (6 pages) by Paul V. Beck of Tulsa, Oklahoma, asking if Vietnam is "the beginning of World War III," and a 3-page copy of Mr. Eccles's statement printed by F. E. Bellamy of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and sent to others on 18 January 1966.
