Eccles delivered at the twelfth Stanford Business Conference July 20, 1953 on the relationship of credit control and the management of the public debt to economic stability. Also correspondence related to his addressing the meeting, and copies of the printed programs from the 1952 and 1953 conferences. Both showed Eccles on the agenda, but he had to cancel his appearance at the 1952 talk. The title of the 1953 talk was, "What is a sound dollar?"
