Title search completed Feb. 2021) *2021 updates were completed for buildings constructed between c.1915 and c.1960. These buildings had been documented previously only at a minimal level, in large part because the period of significance for the historic district ended in 1915. The 2021 update of the National Register documentation for the historic district would expand that to c.1960. Herman Hermansen was one of the first Millers when the Spring City Roller Mills was built in 1900. He moved to Spring City and built a cabin on this property. About 1912, he traded the property to Soren Lewis Larsen for some property on 500 South and 200 West. Larsen built onto the small cabin. Farrell McKinney purchased the property and when he tore down the old house to build a new one in 1968-69, he found the cabin. The cabin was then moved, intact, to the northwest corner of his property where it stands today. Some repairs have been made, but it is virtually the same. The granary was probably built at the same time the cabin was built. About 1975, the Sutliffs purchased the property. 395 South 500 East, Spring City, Sanpete County 395 South 500 East, Spring City, Sanpete County |
