The house is much too dilapidated to contribute to the preservation efforts of the town. George Taylor claimed this lot in 1869 and gets the mayors deed in 1870. Taylor sells the lot in 1892 to Jacres A. Allred for seventy-five dollars. The house was probably standing by 1892 but Allred didn't live here as it almost immediately deedeq . to the Spring City LDS Eclesiastical Ward. In the t,.,entieth-century, the house came to be' associated with an old maid who lived here for many years, hence the designation "l<aren's House." This cabin was torn down when Richard and Karen Hansen built their home on this lot.
