This rectangulp plan granary has a gable door and a gable roof which projects forward out over the door, in this case about three feet. The gable door is off center and the building is one-and-a-half stories high. In later years the granary was converted to a human dwelling but remains unaltered and in excellent shape. The house and barn have been removed. The 1870 deed went to Thomas Bywater who sold in 1875 to Peter Houlter. N:oulter undoubtedly built the house, barn, and granary soon after this date. In 1888 Moulter sells the lot to Christine Kofford. The Kofford name is usually applied to the granary but in all likelihood, Moulter was the builder.
