East Pyne: A precuser to the popular Collegiate Gothic style, East Pyne created an inner courtyard ,completely contained within the builidng itself ,unlike Nassau. Wilson College: A perfect example of Collegiate Gothic ,Wilson College establishes several courtyards between building ,like Nassau, but also by the individual buildings closing down space , similar to East Pyne. Hibben-Magie Site: This proposed scheme seeks to continue the tradition of activating interstitial space between buildings. Siting in portions of existing forest, the new apartment buildings would be oriented to maximize retention of the trees ,while providing communal space amid the foliage. Existing Conditions: parking roads/walkways Hibben-Magie apartment buildings Topography: site contours drainage patterns Vegetation: existing tree groupings ri parian area open area (grass) Natural Amenities: view corridors access to sunlight/sun paths June May , July Apri l, Aug.
