The state tax credit law requires that before any work begins, the proposed work must be approved by our office as meeting the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation. Also, a minimum of $10,000 must be expended for the rehabilitation over a maximum period of 36 months. There is no fee to apply for this tax credit.
