This home replaced an older frame home built about 1884 by Matthew MCKelley, a carpenter. His wife, Eliza McKelley (1832-1916) sold the property in 1906. Her daughter J. W. Hanes lived next door at 276 J Street. Mrs. McKelly sold this house to William Henry (Harry) Robinson. Mr. Robinson was a carpenter and he probably built this home in the 1910's. William Henry Robinson, a native of Salt Lake was born on January 25, 1856. He was the son of William and Mercy Hodgson Robinson. His wife Annie R. Robinson died in 1932. Mr. Robinson lived here until his death in 1943. He was survived by three daughters, Mrs. Alice Thomas, Mrs. Margaret Winthers, and Carol Robinson. Alice Thomas owned the property until 1968 when she sold it to Gerritje V. Dicou. Avenues H. D.
