It has a main hip roof with a front dormer window, a projecting north bay and a front porch, all of which have gable roofs. All gables have wood shingled fascias siding. The first story windows have arched tops and the large front window has a leaded glass transom. A corbeled brick belt course runs around the house at the tops of the windows. The porch has slender doric columns on a wood-shingled railing wall. --Thomas W. The house was built ca.190l for Olive D. and Agnes Reed. Agnes Reed was the widow of James Reed. Olive D. was her daughter. They lived in the house until 1907, when the Home Trust and Savings Company bought it. Two years later, the company sold it to Charles W. Beaty. He apparently was an out of town investor who held it as rental property. In 1923, he sold it to Warren S. Hulett, who did not live in the house but rented it out. Little is known about him--no obituary appeared in Salt Lake City papers, and Salt Lake City Directories do not list an occupation for him. In 1947, he still owned the house, which had been converted into a duplex.
