It has a main hip roof, a projecting gabled front bay, and a smaller gable-roofed front porch. The bay gable has wood shingle siding that curves in to frame a triple attic window. The gable rests on a curved brick bay window with stone or concrete sills and lintels, and a fine art-glass center transom. Next to the bay is the front porch, with modillion brackets in the gable, paired wooden doric columns on sandstone posts, and an excellent old iron railing. The front door is set into a curved corner wall. --Thomas W. In 1903 Louise L. Greenwood sold this property for $850 to Edward Swenson (1862 - 1931). He took out a $2,000 mortgage in 1905 probably to build this home. Swenson was the proprietor with Henry and C. H. Denhalter of the Denhalter Bottling Company (318 S. State). Swenson lived here until his death. His widow Evelyn P. inherited the property and continued to live in this home.
