W. Scott Weiler, a real estate broker, built this house in 1909. Weiler was born in Salt Lake to Elijah Malin cmd Emily P. Crismon Weiler. He graduated from the Salt Lake Business College and then worked as a clerk at ZCMI. After working as an office manager for Cannon Brothers for three years, he became a partner in the Eard1y-Wei1er Real Estate Company. Weiler then opened a business as a security broker. He was a member of the LDS Church; (See also 289 D Street) Weiler probably rented this house until 1913. He sold it then to Margie G. Hemphill. Margie, the widow of Zacharian, was a stenographer. She owned the house until 1915 and probably rented it. In 1915 Rudolph and Anna E. Heber bought the house. Rudolph was a road master and inspector for the Denver Rio Grande Railroad. They 1ived :in the house until 1917 and then moved probably out of the city. They continued to own the house and probably rented it until 1938. They sold it on contract to Carla Landth then. She probably rented it and the house has continued to be a rental property. There is no more information on the owners. William J. Cannonville designed a number of homes on the Avenues.
