It represents the break up of that larger piece of family property, 236 D Street. Ann Selina had Taylor, Romney, Armstrong build this home. At the time this home was built, William C. Puzey ( -1925) was a clerk with Ensign and Papworth, grocers at 371 W. South Temple. When he added the brick addition to the home, he was with Modern Grocery at 202 W. 2nd N. William lived in this home until 1920 William and his wife Margaret transferred the property to James Chipman, William's brother-in-law whose third wife, Salina Puzey Chipman inherited the home at his death, but lived at 236 D Street and maintained this home as rental. In 1938 Salina sold the home to Arthur L. and Rose E. Marks Cooper. Arthur was a carrier for the post office. The Coopers did not live in the home. In 1946 they sold the home to Willard and A. June Dore. Williard was a fellow post office worker and had been living in the home since 1940. The Dones had lived at 133 3rd Avenue.
