Kay would take the suggested changes back to UCLC group. Additional UHSLC cards can be obtained from Kirk. Cataloging task force report. ULA river trip Aug 14, 1994 cost $150. Cataloging of Consortium Materials Addendum and clarification of Kay's report The original agreement was that the consortium would pay .$200 towards cataloging costs for each-of. the hospitals that requested it. So far only $540 has been spent from the treasury toward this cataloging, with St. Mark's having used the most of their allotment. This catologing was done by Sandie Ellis from Eccles, and her time was covered by Eccles. As Sandie was unable to handle the volume of cataloging we had, it was necessary to get an outside cataloger. Because the consortium really can't hire someone, Eccles hired RuthAnne Hansen for us, with the understanding that we would pay her hourly rate ( $13./hr) for work she did for us. There are now two components we need to pay for: l)the OCLC charges ($2/title) and 2) RuthAnne's time. Recommendation: 1. The consortium would pay the $2/title (as promised) for up to 100 titles for each library, encouraging all to use their allotments. 2. The consortium would pay the cost of the cataloger's time for all of the above titles. (This assumes that time spent for cataloging will be about the same for each institution.) 3. Beyond the 100 titles, each library would pay the per title cost for additional books cataloged, but the consortium would pay the cataloger's time, up to $130 (or 10 hours).
