Description Neurosarcoidosis occurs in 5 10% of patients with sarcoidosis. In many cases, the patient already is known to have sarcoidosis involving other organ systems when neurologic signs and symptoms develop. In up to 50% of patients with neurosarcoidosis, however, the neurologic manifestations are the presenting signs of the disease, and in some of these, there is no overt laboratory or imaging evidence of sarcoidosis elsewhere in the body.
