Description |
Malignant tumors that arise in various parts of the body can spread to the CNS. Most metastases result from hematogenous spread of the tumor. The tumor may disseminate to the bones of the skull, from where it may spread to the subarachnoid space, brain, or both. Alternatively, it may metastasize directly to the brain parenchyma or to the subarachnoid space as well as to the orbit. |
