Description |
Encephalitis periaxialis concentrica was first described by Marburg in 1906 and later by Balo in 1927 and 1928. Following these initial reports, more than 50 case reports appeared in the literature, and many more were recognized clinically but not reported. The disease resembles myelinoclastic diffuse sclerosis clinically but differs from it pathologically. |
