Walsh & Hoyt: Idiopathic Retinal Vasculitis

Retinal vasculitis may be a manifestation of most of the systemic disorders discussed in this chapter. In many of these cases, the patients are known to have an underlying systemic disease at the time the retinal vasculitis is discovered; in others, the retinal findings are the initial manifestation of the systemic disease. In some patients, however, retinal vasculitis occurs as an isolated phenomenon unassociated with any systemic or neurologic disease.
