Description Craniofacial scleroderma includes a spectrum of disease from linear scleroderma (‘en coup de sabre') to progressive hemifacial atrophy (Parry-Romberg syndrome). It is an uncommon cause of external phthalmoplegia as a result of atrophic myopathy, the pathophysiology of which is incompletely understood. In addition, central nervous system changes are a not uncommon finding in this spectrum of disease.
