Description The King-Devick(K-D) test, a <2-minute timed assessment of rapid number naming, has been studied as a rapid, quantitative screening tool for neurological dysfunction associated with concussion, hypoxia, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and extreme sleep deprivation. All studies to date have either compared within subjects against individual baselines or between affected subjects and age-matched neurologically-normal control subjects. A large normative database has not been previously established. The purpose of this study was to determine the distribution of K-D test performance in normal adults and adolescents and evaluate the effect of potential confounding variables.
