Description NAION is a silent, opportunistic, blinding disease of the elderly resulting in 20/200 or worse vision in affected eyes. Serendipitously, levodopa (Sinemet) was found to improve vision in some patients with NAION. Our studies on the use of levodopa in NAION are herein presented.
