Description Optic nerve swelling and subsequent optic atrophy with loss of visual acuity and visual field is a relatively rare condition. We describe a patient with bilateral optic disc edema, visual field abnormalities, poorly reactive pupils, meningeal enhancement on cranial magnetic resonance imaging, and diffuse brain parenchymal hypervascularity.
