Description Vascular pouch is a complication of successful balloon embolization of carotid cavernous fistula (CCF). The anatomy and mechanisms leading to its formation are uncertain, although early balloon deflation is probably important. Symptoms due to vascular pouch have been reported to be uncommon. This study attempts to characterize features that render a vascular pouch symptomatic.
