Title A Multi-Site Assessment of Neuro-Ophthalmology Education and Resident Attitudes toward Methods of Content Delivery
Creator Price, Evan B; Moss, Heather E
Subject Neuro-Ophthalmologic Disease; Ophthalmology Residency; Active Learning Techniques
Description Recent graduates of US and Canadian ophthalmology residencies report feeling inadequately prepared to manage patients with neuro-ophthalmologic disease. Active learning educational techniques have been shown to improve learning outcomes in other educational domains and could address this problem by increasing both knowledge retention and confidence of residents. We sought to determine resident confidence regarding neuro-ophthalmic topics and their attitudes toward alternate methods of education in preparation for designing an educational intervention.
