Description Spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) in patients with various forms of optic neuropathy has shown small hyporeflective spaces within the inner nuclear layer in the parafoveal region of the retina. Initially described in cases of demyelinating optic neuritis, these findings may also occur in compressive, nutritional/toxic, and hereditary optic neuropathies.
