Creator Frederiksen, Jette L; Poulsen, Nadia N
Subject Optic Neuritis; Multiple Sclerosis; Risk Assessment; Multiple Sclerosis Prognosis
Description Optic neuritis (ON) is often the first manifestation of multiple sclerosis (MS), but not all ON patients develop MS. The aim of this study was to review the results of 19 in order to determine the prognostic-factor of initial MRI of ON patients. When taking early MRI in ON patients into consideration, it may be possible to define a more detailed risk assessment for the prognosis and future development as well as a possibly beneficial medical treatment.
