Description In eyes affected by papilledema, optical coherence tomography (OCT) quantifies retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) and optic nerve head (ONH) swelling. These improve over time with the underlying condition, sometimes revealing residual axonal loss. Parallel changes in the macula have not been well described. We used serial OCT to assess the evolution of macular anatomy in papilledema patients.
