Description Learning direct ophthalmoscopy is challenging, and medical students (MS) long-term retention of ophthalmoscopy skills is poor.1 We previously demonstrated that MS performed more accurately and preferred using photographs than direct ophthalmoscopy to examine the ocular fundus.2 We hypothesized that these differences would persist over time.
