Description |
Most extra-axial tumors of the posterior fossa occur in the ventral compartment of the fossa. Here they are intimately related to the cranial nerves 9 structures of the brain stem and cerebellar hemispheres. Presenting signs and symptoms of such tumors are a result of-involvement of multiple cranial nerves in various combinations as well as brain stem and/or cerebellar signs. I am presenting representative cases of the most commonly occuring extra-axial tumors of this area. |
